There is a lot of material in this article. I understand it is being objectively measured BUT the mere hours is not the only indicator.
What about the quality of the sleep?
It is all about the REM cycles that usually last around 90 minutes, ending up with a REM stage (Rapid Eye Movement). You would know this if you had a vivid dream.
What about the age of the candidate ?
We are talking about clogged arteries. We can’t compare someone who is 18 and 60 even though the graph does that.
What about sports activity ?
We should look into how sport affects the sleep and whether it can ‘reverse’ the damage that you would get by sleeping less than 7 hours a night. Like when you take antibiotics and then you have to take probiotics to cancel out the diarrhea issue caused by the antibiotics.
This is an interesting topic for me personally. I am currently testing my body’s reaction to 4 hours of sleep a day. Updating this article https://medium.com/@adnanxteam/this-is-how-i-successfully-reduced-sleep-by-4-hours-per-night-by-going-into-the-super-state-bc706545ed34
Would love to invite anyone who has similar experiences with less hours of sleep to contribute the article. Just tag me. I would like to gather as many use cases as possible.
